Over 20 years ago, ICL broke new ground nationally by starting a unique supportive housing program for adults with serious mental illness and their children called ICL Emerson Davis Family Center. Today, ICL has a variety of such residential programs, all located in Brooklyn. Linking stable affordable community housing with case management, parenting skills training and other services, ICL has enabled parents with serious mental illness to retain or regain custody of their children.
