ICL Client Artwork at Brooklyn Museum: Opening Reception August 17th
Capturing one’s true self through art was last year’s challenge. This year’s exhibition by 20 artists who have their own set of challenges – each have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and some have severe visual impairment – captures the essence of the people and places that are important to their lives through portraits, photography, painted landscapes, structure and large multi-media pieces on paper in Our Story: Connecting Families and Communities through Art. This 6th annual exhibition will open with an evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on August 17th at the Brooklyn Museum and will run from August 18th through the 28th.
